How Italian Bra Sizing Works

Italian bra sizing uses a numbered system for bands that is unique to Italy: size 1 = US/UK 30, size 2 = US/UK 32, size 3 = US/UK 34, size 4 = US/UK 36, size 5 = US/UK 38, and so on. The sizing is linear — just add 1 to go up one band size. Cup sizes follow EU conventions (A, B, C, D, E, F), making Italian sizing a blend of a unique band system and standard EU cup progression.

An Italian size 4C is equivalent to a EU 80C, a French 95C, and a US/UK 36C. The conversion rule: Italian band number × 2 + 22 gives the approximate underbust in inches. Conversely, (US band − 22) / 2 gives the approximate Italian band number.
